Her cousins Prince William of Gloucester and Prince Michael of Kent served as page boys.
Others in the wedding party included the Princess’ parents, Queen Elizabeth and King George VI, as well as Queen Mary and the best man, the Marquess of Milford Haven (David Michael Mountbatten).
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire in 1972. The castle was bought by Queen Victoria in 1848 and demolished after completion of a larger building in 1856.
