R.I.P.Therese Ann Rutherford (November 2, 1917 - June 11, 2012)
Ann Rutherford acted on tv as Bob Newhart’s mother-in-law on The Bob Newhart Show and on the big screen as Andy Hardy’s (Mickey Rooney) girlfriend from 1937 to 1941 in the Andy Hardy film series and Red Skelton’s girlfriend in the mystery/comedy Whistling in… series. She also had a role in the 1938 A Christmas Carol and the 1940 Pride and Prejudice movies. Ann is probably most known for her role as Careen O’Hara, the youngest sister of Scarlett O’Hara, in Gone with the Wind.
